Charreah’s biggest passion is people. She is the Associate Editor at ESSENCE magazine. As a certified family life educator, she also provides relationship workshops and coaching around the country through her company, Studio Social.

The savvy southerner speaks nationally on women’s empowerment, communication, and family life, including the 2011 American Society of Journalists and Authors Conference and the 2009 Women + Power Conference, headlined by Gloria Steinem.

Charreah is a graduate of Howard University. Her writing has appeared around the globe for brands such as Ebony, Essence, CNN, Vibe and The Huffington Post. She has  interviewed newsmakers such as Spike LeeSarah Jessica Parker, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She has earned awards in journalism including a 2009 New York Association of Black Journalists award and was a finalist for a 2007 Hearst Award. She is also featured in the book “Daring to be Ourselves” by Marianne Schnall, which includes insight from influential women including Cameron Diaz and Maya Angelou. Born and raised in Atlanta, Charreah is now a proud resident of Harlem.
