Gwyneth Doland has spent her career as a journalist working in print, online, in radio and television—and teaching young people how to do the same. She is the vice president of the Journalism & Women Symposium.

Gwyneth is currently the executive director of New Mexico Foundation for Open Government, a nonprofit organization that operates a hotline for journalists and members of the public who need help with access to public records and meetings. She teaches multimedia journalism classes at the University of New Mexico.

Before joining NMFOG in 2012, Gwyneth Doland was a producer and host for New Mexico PBS and a correspondent for the NPR affiliate KUNM-FM. As the editor of The New Mexico Independent, a startup online-only news site, she and her team pioneered interactive coverage of the state Legislature and won a First Amendment Award from the ACLU of New Mexico. Her work for two alternative weekly papers, the Santa Fe Reporter and Weekly Alibi also won several awards.
