As we get excited to convene in Vermont for CAMP this year, we’re also getting excited about future CAMPs. If you want to start planning early, here’s the intel. Can’t wait to see you all at CAMP this year and in the future!
The JAWS Board has selected the sites for our next three conferences, keeping in mind the membership’s desire for holding CAMP at a beautiful, affordable and accessible location. This is no easy task, especially when trying to get some geographic diversity into the mix of criteria. But we try to please most members most of the time with a variety of selections and knowing in advance should help you — and the board — to plan. If you cannot make it this year, pencil in the following dates for future years.
2014: A chance to take advantage of unusually low rates at a gorgeous resort in West Coast will bring JAWS to La Quinta in Palm Springs, California. The desert temperatures should have cooled enough to make this an enjoyable retreat October 31-November 2, 2014.
2015: Tradition trumps this year as JAWS celebrates its 30th Anniversary with a stay Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, Montana, a place we have known and loved before. The mountain scenery can’t be beat and the lodge is happy to welcome us back with great rates and hospitality October 9-11, 2015.
2016: It’s time to try something new with a bit more of an urban feel. This setting at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center in Virginia is walking distance to shops, restaurants and museums but just a short drive of the Appalachian Trail as well. CAMP will be held here October 28-30, 2016.
