JAWS Symposiums have been held each year since the organization formed in 1984, offering professional development, training, inspiring speakers and an opportunity to support networking, mentoring and friendship among women in journalism.

JAWS Fall Symposium 2012, Oct. 26-28

2012 Fall Symposium will be in New Mexico!

Join us for a packed program with technology training, panels on entrepreneurial journalism and freelancing, plus inspiring speakers such as feminist icon Gloria Steinem, Pulitzer winner Sara Ganim and voting rights expert Keesha Gaskins. We have partnered with the American Copy Editors Society for an editing workshop on Oct. 25 if you come early, and special sessions will be offered with trainers from the Reynolds Center for Business Journalism on Oct. 26 to kick off a full weekend through Oct. 28.
