We have been gathering each year after the first initial CAMP in 1985. Now, we hold our annual – and more formally titled – Conference and Mentoring Project (CAMP), offering professional development, training, inspiring speakers and an opportunity to support networking, mentoring and friendship among women in journalism.
We are excited to announce that the 2019 Conference and Mentoring Project (CAMP) will take place from Sept. 20-22 in Williamsburg, Va.
Cited by The New York Times as one of the 52 Places to Go in 2019, Williamsburg provides the opportune backdrop for this year’s conference theme: “Facing Our Past, Defining Our Future.”
This conference will feature a variety of keynotes and sessions designed to provide tangible outcomes so attendees leave feeling empowered to implement what they’ve learned.
We will reflect on our history, recognize our contributions, refine our skills, restore our beings and rewrite tomorrow for our organization and women in journalism.
